About Cathy Grier
Cathy Grier is a blues traveler with a dynamic stage presence, and tasty guitar licks. Her gritty, soulful vocals underscore the poignancy of her lyrics. In her eclectic writing and performing style, blues is a fundamental cornerstone of everything she does. Cathy’s life story can be felt in every heartfelt note. Performing professionally for over 40 years, she has honed her art of the guitar, slide guitar, harmonica and her vocals skills to beautifully compliment her dedication to the traditional female blues artists.
She formed Cathy Grier + The Troublemakers in 2017 with a stellar lineup of top Wisconsin blues players. Their album “I’m All Burn,” was in the top 100 for 2021 of the RMR Contemporary Blues Charts. Representing Paramount Music Association, and the State of Wisconsin.
Cathy Grier + The Troublemakers were semi finalists at the 2022 International Blues Challenge Memphis.
