Introducing the WAMI SEED Scholarship: Sowing Excellence, Enriching Dreams
The WAMI SEED (Sowing Excellence, Enriching Dreams) Scholarship is more than just financial assistance—it’s a catalyst for young artists to pursue their passion and share their gifts with the world. Designed for middle and high school students (Grades 7-12), this scholarship breaks down financial barriers and opens doors to endless musical possibilities.
In 2024, the initial round of SEED Scholarships made a powerful impact by:
- Awarding $5,000 in scholarships directly to 20 aspiring musicians.
- Reaching across all four regions of Wisconsin, touching lives in 17 diverse cities including Baileys Harbor, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Madison, Wilton, Janesville, Slinger, and Oconomowoc.
- Supporting students’ musical journeys through funding for private lessons, new instruments, and participation in esteemed programs like the UW Summer Music Clinic.
- Honoring the families of our heroes, with 4 scholarships awarded to children of veterans.
- Recognizing exceptional contributions, granting 3 special awards to young individuals making a difference in their local music communities.
