Proud Partnership: WAMI & MUSIC6S (M6S)
Healing Through Harmony
Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Partners with MUSIC6S to Support Mental Health in Our Music Community
Since 1980, the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) has been dedicated to honoring, educating, and supporting Wisconsin’s vibrant music scene. As a volunteer nonprofit organization, WAMI recognizes excellence through annual awards, provides scholarships for young musicians, promotes local artists, and fosters collaboration across the state.
Now, we’re thrilled to highlight our exciting partnership with MUSIC6S (M6S), a fellow Wisconsin nonprofit using the transformative power of music to heal and uplift those who need it most.
What is MUSIC6S?
MUSIC6S (M6S) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in New Berlin, Wisconsin, committed to providing free music education, lessons, and performance opportunities to individuals facing mental health challenges.
Their focus is on supporting our community’s true heroes:
– Veterans
– First responders (firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement)
– Healthcare workers
– And others dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, or trauma from service
Through music therapy-inspired programs, M6S builds supportive, music-inspired communities where participants can find connection, expression, and hope—at no cost.
Our Partnership in Action
Together, WAMI and MUSIC6S are amplifying the healing power of music across Wisconsin:
